Sonnet 050: How Heavy Do I Journey On The Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFGFHH

How heavy do I journey on the wayA
When what I seek my weary travel's endB
Doth teach that case and that repose to sayA
Thus far the miles are measured from thy friendB
The beast that bears me tired with my woeC
Plods dully on to bear that weight in meD
As if by some instinct the wretch did knowC
His rider loved not speed being made from theeD
The bloody spur cannot provoke him onE
That sometimes anger thrusts into his hideF
Which heavily he answers with a groanG
More sharp to me than spurring to his sideF
For that same groan doth put this in my mindH
My grief lies onward and my joy behindH
