Shall we wake one morn of springA
Glad at heart of everythingA
Yet pensive with the thought of eveB
Then the white house shall we leaveB
Pass the wind flowers and the baysC
Through the garth and go our waysC
Wandering down among the meadsD
Till our very joyance needsD
Rest at last till we shall comeE
To that Sun god s lonely homeF
Lonely on the hill side greyG
Whence the sheep have gone awayG
Lonely till the feast time isH
When with prayer and praise of blissI
Thither comes the country sideJ
There awhile shall we abideJ
Sitting low down in the porchK
By that image with the torchK
Thy one white hand laid uponL
The black pillar that was wonM
From the far off Indian mineN
And my hand nigh touching thineN
But not touching and thy gownO
Fair with spring flowers cast adownO
From thy bosom and thy browP
There the south west wind shall blowQ
Through thine hair to reach my cheekR
As thou sittest nor mayst speakR
Nor mayst move the hand I kissI
For the very depth of blissI
Nay nor turn thine eyes to meS
Then desire of the great seaS
Nigh enow but all unheardT
In the hearts of us is stirredT
And we rise we twain at lastU
And the daffodils downcastU
Feel thy feet and we are goneO
From the lonely Sun Crowned oneO
Then the meads fade at our backV
And the spring day gins to lackV
That fresh hope that once it hadW
But we twain grow yet more gladW
And apart no more may goQ
When the grassy slope and lowQ
Dieth in the shingly sandX
Then we wander hand in handX
By the edges of the seaS
And I weary more for theeS
Than if far apart we wereY
With a space of desert drearY
Twixt thy lips and mine O loveZ
Ah my joy my joy thereofZ
