Hymn To The Saviour Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BCDD EEFF

Saviour pure source of life and zeal intenseA
Whose words were peace whose deeds benificenceA
Around thy servant ever may I seeA
The sunshine of the soul deriv'd from TheeA
-
While their true faith enlighten'd Christians proveB
By mutual aid and evangelic loveC
By sins environ'd may we strive aloneD
To pardon others and repent our ownD
-
So may we comforted by words from HeavenE
That clearly prove the penitent forgivenE
With trust beyond the confidence of youthF
Rest on our guardian God the God of TruthF
