The Uses Of Poetry Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAABDAEFEFEF

I've fond anticipation of a dayA
O'erfilled with pure diversion presentlyB
For I must read a lady poesyC
The while we glide by many a leafy bayA
Hid deep in rushes where at random playA
The glossy black winged May flies or whence fleeB
Hush throated nestlings in alarmD
Whom we have idly frighted with our boat's long swayA
For lest o'ersaddened by such woes as springE
To rural peace from our meek onward trendF
What else more fit We'll draw the latch stringE
And close the door of sense then satiate wendF
On poesy's transforming giant wingE
To worlds afar whose fruits all anguish mendF
