The On A Proposed Trip South Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

They tell me on the morrow I must leaveA
This winter eyrie for a southern flightB
And truth to tell I tremble with delightB
At thought of such unheralded reprieveA
E'er have I known December in a weaveA
Of blanched crystal when thrice one short nightB
Packed full with magic and O blissful sightB
N'er May so warmly doth for April grieveA
To in a breath's space wish the winter throughC
And lo to see it fading Where oh whereD
Is caract could endow this princely boonE
Yet I have found it and shall shortly viewC
The lush high grasses shortly see in airD
Gay birds and hear the bees make heavy droonE
