Queen Anne's Lace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJIKLDMNOIID

Her body is not so white asA
anemone petals nor so smooth norB
so remote a thing It is a fieldC
of the wild carrot takingD
thefield by force the grassE
does not raise above itF
Here is no question of whitenessG
white as can be with a purple moleH
at the center of each flowerI
Each flower is a hand's spanJ
of her whiteness WhereverI
his hand has lain there isK
a tiny purple blossom under his touchL
to which the fibres of her beingD
stem one by one each to its endM
until the whole field is aN
white desire empty a single stemO
a cluster flower by flowerI
a pious wish to whiteness gone overI
or nothingD
