Postlude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDECF GHIJBK BALMJCNBO

Now that I have cooled to youA
Let there be gold of tarnished masonryB
Temples soothed by the sun to ruinC
That sleep utterlyB
Give me hand for the dancesD
Ripples at Philae in and outE
And lips my LesbianC
Wall flowers that once were flameF
-
Your hair is my CarthageG
And my arms the bowH
And our words arrowsI
To shoot the starsJ
Who from that misty seaB
Swarm to destroy usK
-
But you there beside meB
Oh how shall I defy youA
Who wound me in the nightL
With breasts shiningM
Like Venus and like MarsJ
The night that is shouting JasonC
When the loud eaves rattleN
As with waves above meB
Blue at the prow of my desireO
