My Spectre Around Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFG HHIJ KKJI AALL MMNN

My spectre around me night and dayA
Like a wild beast guards my wayA
My emanation far withinB
Weeps incessantly for my sinB
-
A fathomless and boundless deepC
There we wander there we weepC
On the hungry craving windD
My spectre follows thee behindD
-
He scents thy footsteps in the snowE
Wheresoever thou dost goE
Through the wintry hail and rainF
When wilt thou return againG
-
Dost thou not in pride and scornH
Fill with tempests all my mornH
And with jealousies and fearsI
Fill my pleasant nights with tearsJ
-
Seven of my sweet loves thy knifeK
Has bereaved of their lifeK
Their marble tombs I built with tearsJ
And with cold and shuddering fearsI
-
Seven more loves weep night and dayA
Round the tombs where my loves layA
And seven more loves attend each nightL
Around my couch with torches brightL
-
And seven more loves in my bedM
Crown with wine my mournful headM
Pitying and forgiving allN
Thy transgressions great and smallN
