With An Identity Disc Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAC DEDEFF

If ever I dreamed of my dead nameA
High in the heart of London unsurpassedB
By Time for ever and the Fugitive FameA
There seeking a long sanctuary at lastB
-
I better that and recollect with shameA
How once I longed to hide it from life's heatsC
Under those holy cypresses the sameA
That shade always the quiet place of KeatsC
-
Now rather thank I God there is no riskD
Of gravers scoring it with florid screedE
But let my death be memoried on this discD
Wear it sweet friend Inscribe no date nor deedE
But may thy heart beat kiss it night and dayF
Until the name grow vague and wear awayF
