The End Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EECCFF

After the blast of lightning from the eastA
The flourish of loud clouds the Chariot throneB
After the drums of time have rolled and ceasedA
And from the bronze west long retreat is blownB
-
Shall Life renew these bodies Of a truthC
All death will he annul all tears assuageD
Or fill these void veins full again with youthC
And wash with an immortal water ageD
-
When I do ask white Age he saith not soE
My head hangs weighed with snowE
And when I hearken to the Earth she saithC
My fiery heart sinks aching It is deathC
Mine ancient scars shall not be glorifiedF
Nor my titanic tears the seas be driedF
