Hush thrush Hush missen thrush I listenA
I heard the flush of footsteps through the loose leavesB
And a low whistle by the water's brimC
-
Still Daffodil Nay hail me not so gailyD
Your gay gold lily daunts me and deceivesB
Who follow gleams more golden and more slimC
-
Look brook O run and look O runA
The vain reeds shook Yet search till gray sea heavesB
And I will stray among these fields for himC
-
Gaze daisy Stare through haze and glareE
And mark the hazardous stars all dawns and evesB
For my eye withers and his star wanes dimC
-
-
-
-
Close rose and droop heliotropeF
And shudder hope The shattering winter blowsB
Drop heliotrope and close roseB
-
Mourn corn and sigh ryeG
Men garner you but youth's head lies forlornH
Sigh rye and mourn cornH
-
Brood wood and muse yewsB
The ways gods use we have not understoodI
Muse yews and brood woodI
