Lines For An Album Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDEFGHICJJ JB

Over the river and through the woodsA
To grandmother s house we goB
-
-
She waits behind the bolted doorC
Her withered face in thirty piecesD
While blood runs thin and memoryE
An idiot without a nameF
Recalls the snows of eighty yearsG
The daughter whose death was unexplainedH
Darkness blue veins and broken leasesI
Grandmother waits behind the doorC
Sight dims beyond the curtain foldsJ
With her toothless smile and enuresisJ
-
-
Over the river and through the woodsJ
To grandmother s house we goB
