Covering Two Years Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIBJKL

This nothingness that feeds upon itselfA
Pencils that turn to water in the handB
Parts of a sentence hanging in the airC
Thoughts breaking in the mind like glassD
Blank sheets of paper that reflect the worldE
Whitened the world that I was silenced byF
-
There were two years of that SlowlyG
Whatever splits dissevers cuts cracks ravels or dividesH
To bring me to that diet of corrosion burnedI
And flickered to its terminal Now in an older handB
I write my name Now with a voice grown unfamiliarJ
I speak to silences of altered roomsK
Shaken by knowledge of recurrence and returnL
