The Bird With The Coppery, Keen Claws Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABB CDD AEE EFF GHH IJJ

Above the forest of the parakeetsA
A parakeet of parakeets prevailsB
A pip of life amid a mort of tailsB
-
The rudiments of tropics are aroundC
Aloe of ivory pear of rusty rindD
His lids are white because his eyes are blindD
-
He is not paradise of parakeetsA
Of his gold ether golden alguazilE
Except because he broods there and is stillE
-
Panache upon panache his tails deployE
Upward and outward in green vented formsF
His tip a drop of water full of stormsF
-
But though the turbulent tinges undulateG
As his pure intellect applies its lawsH
He moves not on his coppery keen clawsH
-
He munches a dry shell while he exertsI
His will yet never ceases perfect cockJ
To flare in the sun pallor of his rockJ
