Anecdote Of The Jar Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG GGHA

I placed a jar in TennesseeA
And round it was upon a hillB
It made the slovenly wildernessC
Surround that hillB
-
The wilderness rose up to itD
And sprawled around no longer wildE
The jar was round upon the groundF
And tall and of a port in airG
-
It took dominion everywhereG
The jar was gray and bareG
It did not give of bird or bushH
Like nothing else in TennesseeA
