Between Games Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDEFDC GHIJK LMFN OPQRS CTSU A

Nobody restsA
-
This one constantly shifts his eyesB
Hangs them on his headC
And whether he wants it or not starts walkingD
backwardsE
He puts them on the soles of his feetF
And whether he wants it or not returns walkingD
on his headC
-
This one turns into an earG
He hears all that won't let itself be heardH
But he grows boredI
Yearns to turn again into himselfJ
But without eyes he can't see howK
-
That one bares all his facesL
One after the other he throws them over the roofM
The last one he throws under his feetF
And sinks his head into his handsN
-
This one stretches his sightO
Stretches it from thumb to thumbP
Walks over it walksQ
First slow then fastR
Then faster and fasterS
-
That one plays with his headC
Juggles it in the airT
Meets it with his index fingerS
Or doesn't meet it at allU
-
Nobody restsA
