You listened close to every mourn,
Carried burdens heavy, worn.
You gave until your soul was bare,
A hollow gift beyond repair.
They asked, you gave, till nothing stayed,
Your kindness spent, your strength betrayed.
And when the end drew near, alone,
Their memories lost, your deeds unknown.
They turned away, forgot your flame,
Ungrateful hearts without a name.
But loss is theirs, not yours to keep,
For shallow roots can never deep.
Your giving shines, though none recall,
A noble heart that gave its all.
Their silence speaks, their shadows show,
Ungrateful souls reap what they sow.

Would you like me to reshape this into a darker gothic version, refine it into a rhyming ballad, or transform it into an anthem-like chorus that could be repeated like a song?
