Life has taught me truths untold,
that hearts are not a thing to hold.
No matter how kind, how deep you care,
not all will return the love you share.
You give your best, your soul, your time,
yet echoes fade, not all align.
For meaning to you may weigh like gold,
but to another, it may grow cold.
Sometimes the ones you cherish most,
become the shadows you fear, the ghosts.
The hands you trusted, the eyes you knew,
may turn away, betray what’s true.
So guard your spirit, let wisdom stay,
love with courage, but not blind sway.
For loyalty cannot be forced or pressed—
it blooms in freedom, and proves the rest.
