Freedom, Not Loss Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF EEGH IIJJ

I dimmed my light to let them stayA
I bent my soul I gave awayA
I swallowed silence bore the stingB
Accepted less than I should bringB
-
Disrespect became my chainC
One sided love a quiet painC
I stayed subdued to dodge the fightD
But lost myself in endless nightD
-
That version s gone it will not riseE
I ve shed the mask unveiled the liesE
To lose those blind to all my worthF
Is freedom s gift a second birthF
-
No longer bound by hollow tiesE
I walk with truth no compromiseE
I ll never trade myself againG
For fleeting bonds or shallow friendsH
-
My spirit stands my voice is mineI
A brighter path a clearer signI
The cost of peace was breaking freeJ
And now I live authenticallyJ
