Yet Gentle Will The Griffin Be Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDCEFGFHIJI

What Grandpa told the ChildrenA
-
The moon It is a griffin's eggB
Hatching to morrow nightC
And how the little boys will watchD
With shouting and delightC
To see him break the shell and stretchE
And creep across the skyF
The boys will laugh The little girlsG
I fear may hide and cryF
Yet gentle will the griffin beH
Most decorous and fatI
And walk up to the milky wayJ
And lap it like a catI
