What The Moon Saw Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDECEFGHG

Two statesmen met by moonlightA
Their ease was partly feignedB
They glanced about the prairieC
Their faces were constrainedB
In various ways aforetimeD
They had misled the stateE
Yet did it so politelyC
Their henchmen thought them greatE
They sat beneath a hedge and spakeF
No word but had a smokeG
A satchel passed from hand to handH
Next day the deadlock brokeG
