We Meet At The Judgment And I Fear It Not Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAA BBCCDDEE FFGGHHIIJJ

Though better men may fear that trumpet's warningA
I meet you lady on the Judgment morningA
With golden hope my spirit still adorningA
-
-
Our God who made you all so fair and sweetB
Is three times gentle and before his feetB
Rejoicing I shall say The girl you gaveC
Was my first Heaven an angel bent to saveC
Oh God her maker if my ingrate breathD
Is worth this rescue from the Second DeathD
Perhaps her dear proud eyes grow gentler tooE
That scorned my graceless years and trophies fewE
-
Gone are those years and gone ill deeds that turnedF
Her sacred beauty from my songs that burnedF
We now as comrades through the stars may takeG
The rich and arduous quests I did forsakeG
Grant me a seraph guide to thread the throngH
And quickly find that woman soul so strongH
I dream that in her deeply hidden heartI
Hurt love lived on though we were apartI
A brooding secret mercy like your ownJ
That blooms to day to vindicate your throneJ
