The Jazz bird sings a barnyard songA
A cock a doodle brayB
A jingle bells a boiler worksC
A he man's roundelayD
-
The eagle said 'My noisy sonE
I send you out to fight '-
So the youngster spread his sunflower wingsF
And roared with all his mightG
-
His headlight eyes went flashingH
From Oregon to MaineI
And the land was dark with airshipsJ
In the darting Jazz bird's trainI
-
Crossing the howling oceanE
His bell mouth shook the skyK
And the Yankees in the trenchesL
Gave back the hue and cryK
-
And Europe had not heard the likeM
And Germany went downN
The fowl of steel with clashing clawsO
Tore off the Kaiser's crownN
