Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDABFBB

The flower fed buffaloes of the springA
In the days of long agoB
Ranged where the locomotives singA
And the prarie flowers lie lowB
The tossing blooming perfumed grassC
Is swept away by wheatD
Wheels and wheels and wheels spin byE
In the spring that still is sweetD
But the flower fed buffaloes of the springA
Left us long agoB
They gore no more they bellow no moreF
With the Blackfeet lying lowB
With the Pawnee lying lowB
