Here's To The Mice! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDEFDGF HIIIIJKJ

Written with the hope that the socialists might yetA
dethrone Kaiser and CzarB
-
-
Here's to the mice that scare the lionsC
Creeping into their cagesD
Here's to the fairy mice that biteE
The elephants fat and wiseF
Hidden in the hay pile while the elephant thunder ragesD
Here's to the scurrying timid miceG
Through whom the proud cause diesF
-
Here's to the seeming accidentH
When all is planned and workingI
All the flywheels turningI
Not a vassal shirkingI
Here's to the hidden tunneling thingI
That brings the mountain's groansJ
Here's to the midnight scamps that gnawK
Gnawing away the thronesJ
