He Nears The Goal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCABDEFEGFHBIBJB

How the red bells rangA
As I neared the Chaos shoreB
As I flew across to the end of the WestC
The young bells rang and rangA
Above the Chaos roarB
And the Wings of the MorningD
Beat in tuneE
And bore me like a bird alongF
And the nearing star turned to a moonE
Gray moon with a brow of redG
Gray moon with a golden songF
Like a diver after pearlsH
I plunged to that stifling floorB
It was wide as a giant's wheat fieldI
An icy wind washed shoreB
O laughing proud but trembling starJ
O wind that wounded soreB
