Rhyme Scheme: A AAABBBAA C DEFEAAAA

I GOD SEND THE REGICIDEA
-
Would that the lying rulers of the worldA
Were brought to block for tyrannies abhorredA
Would that the sword of Cromwell and the LordA
The sword of Joshua and GideonB
Hewed hip and thigh the hosts of MidianB
God send that ironside ere tomorrow's sunB
Let Gabriel and Michael with him rideA
God send the RegicideA

II A COLLOQUIAL REPLY TO ANY NEWSBOYC
-
If you lay for Iago at the stage door with a brickD
You have missed the moral of the playE
He will have a midnight supper with Othello and his wifeF
They will chirp together and be gayE
But the things Iago stands for must go down into the dustA
Lying and suspicion and conspiracy and lustA
And I cannot hate the Kaiser I hope you understandA
Yet I chase the thing he stands for with a brickbat in my handA
