By The Spring, At Sunset Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBD EFE CFCF GHGH

Sometimes we remember kissesA
Remember the dear heart leap when they cameB
Not always but sometimes we rememberC
The kindness the dumbness the good flameB
Of laughter and farewellD
-
Beside the roadE
Afar from those who said Good by I writeF
Far from my city task my lawful loadE
-
Sun in my face wind beside my shoulderC
Streaming clouds banners of new born nightF
Enchant me now The splendors growing bolderC
Make bold my soul for some new wise delightF
-
I write the day's event and quench my drouthG
Pausing beside the spring with happy mindH
And now I feel those kisses on my mouthG
Hers most of all one little friend most kindH
