Blanche Sweet - Moving-picture Actress Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDCAEFEAGHG AIJIKLMLKNONPAOA QRFRJSTSUQPQOVWV

After seeing the reel called Oil and WaterA
-
-
-
Beauty has a throne roomB
In our humorous townC
Spoiling its hob goblinsD
Laughing shadows downC
Rank musicians tortureA
Ragtime ballads vileE
But we walk serenelyF
Down the odorous aisleE
We forgive the squalorA
And the boom and squealG
For the Great Queen flashesH
From the moving reelG
-
Just a prim blonde strangerA
In her early dayI
Hiding brilliant weaponsJ
Too averse to playI
Then she burst upon usK
Dancing through the nightL
Oh her maiden radianceM
Veils and roses whiteL
With new powers yet cautiousK
Not too smart or skilledN
That first flash of dancingO
Wrought the thing she willedN
Mobs of us made nobleP
By her strong desireA
By her white upliftingO
Royal romance fireA
-
Though the tin pianoQ
Snarls its tango rudeR
Though the chairs are shakyF
And the dramas crudeR
Solemn are her motionsJ
Stately are her wilesS
Filling oafs with wisdomT
Saving souls with smilesS
'Mid the restless actorsU
She is rich and slowQ
She will stand like marbleP
She will pause and glowQ
Though the film is twitchingO
Keep a peaceful reignV
Ruler of her passionW
Ruler of our painV
