The Good Conceit Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB BCBC DEDF GHIH

Out of the cloud that covers meA
And blots the stars and seldom liftsB
I thank whatever gods may beA
For my indubitable giftsB
-
Under the whip upon the settsB
Men drive me many a galling mileC
My stock of editors' regretsB
Would fill a barrow but I smileC
-
Fast by this trade of wind and witD
I mean to hold till life be doneE
And every year I stay in itD
Finds and shall find me tugging onF
-
It matters not how stiff and sheerG
The climb how difficult the sumH
I am the man they've got to hearI
I am the man that's bound to comeH
