Taught 'mid thy massy maze their mystic lore | B |
Or Danish chiefs enrich'd with savage spoil | C |
To Victory's idol vast an unhewn shrine | D |
Rear'd the rude heap or in thy hallow'd round | E |
Repose the kings of Brutus' genuine line | D |
Or here those kings in solemn state were crown'd | E |
Studious to trace thy wondrous origine | D |
