On A Poet Patriot Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

His songs were a little phraseA
Of eternal songB
Drowned in the harping of laysA
More loud and longB
-
His deed was a single wordC
Called out aloneD
In a night when no echo stirredC
To laughter or moanD
-
But his songs new souls shall thrillE
The loud harps dumbF
And his deed the echoes fillE
When the dawn is comeF
