Where Graduates flood the labour market yearly	A
With the hope of getting employed one day	B
While the elites' undergraduate children are paid monthly	A
They are on the payroll even before their convocation day	B

But only to end up in the office of the ICPC	C
Or caught in the net of the eagle eyed EFFC	C
Because of the palms they do grease	D

Where little children roam the street as Almajiris	D
Food education and shelter none they have	E
What does the future holds for the Almajiris	D
With a plate of jollof rice today next is at Boko Haram cave	F

All because of political actors	D
And not because to put that country in order	G
In absence are the children of those political actors	D

Stealing women undies and eating faeces like it's a garden cress	D

Making themselves to be to the society a mess	D

Wondering how the measure was manipulated	H
Not knowing their measures have been cut or boiled	I

In the suffering of others they are happy	A
But when it expired or destroyed they are lamenting	C

But lack weapons and morale to die as patriots	D
And fearful about their children's educational security	A

Workers living like those behind bars	D
Patients and students are at the receiving end mostly	A

Campuses are dens for drug addicts and cult members	D
And abodes for slay mamas smouldering like embers	D

While their daughters are locked behind their gates	D
They cajole female students that life is give and take	C
Not thinking about the struggles behind educating that life at stake	C

Where her tourist sites are mosques and churches	D
Citizens attend daily and hourly service at her mosques and churches	D
But their acts aren't in tandem with any religion	K
Kidnapping murder and terrorism in different region	K

Where clerics no longer preach about good virtues	D
They have become Marabouts for corrupt officials lacking virtues	D
And a safe haven for armed robbers cultist and kidnappers	D
They are accomplices of ritual killers and kidnappers	D

Where husbands are busy drinking and their wives busy partying	C
Leaving their children under the care of housemaids	D
Husbands treating their wives like chattels or maids	D
Because of the exorbitant bride price or they met while partying	C

The untrained children are now threat to all electoral wards	D
The old and young are now leaving in fear of those untrained children	K

To get your cloth ready on time you must lie to your tailor	G
Going to a mechanic's workshop there is fear of fueling your vehicle	M
Attempts to outsmart them is like running round in a circle	M

And female money grubbers have resorted to prostitution	K
After several abortions they accused their village people of infertility	A
While some end up dramatising on the street in nudity	A

Gambling drinking and harassment are now the day's order	G
And when penniless they resort to stealing	C
Are these the future leaders to put the country in order	G

They bottleneck the already bottlenecked bureaucracy	A
If you don't drop something you can't get a nod	N
But they'll be the first to criticise the government of democracy	A

We must redefine our identity before it escalates to another level	M
