The nation called for enlistment,
And we obliged patriotically.
We knew we were not called for enjoyment,
But to defend and protect this nation gallantly.
Sadly some among us fell,
So others can peacefully dwell.

Soon the nation forgot these men,
Who fought even beyond their barracks.
After few weeks, their families were sent out of the barracks;
That barracks is meant for serving men.

The dead fighters are indeed patriotic fighters,
That went to defend and protect this nation,
But all the nation have for their families is desertion.
God please be with the families of these fighters.

I want a nation where a gallant patriot dies happily,
Without having these fears for his family;
How his children school fees will be paid?
Will his Pension and gratuity be acceleratedly paid?
Will the would-be orphans not drop out of school?
Else let him be alive to send them to school.
