| And we obliged patriotically | B |
| We knew we were not called for enjoyment | A |
| But to defend and protect this nation gallantly | B |
| Sadly some among us fell | B |
| So others can peacefully dwell | B |

| Soon the nation forgot these men | C |
| Who fought even beyond their barracks | D |
| After few weeks their families were sent out of the barracks | D |
| That barracks is meant for serving men | C |

| The dead fighters are indeed patriotic fighters | E |
| That went to defend and protect this nation | F |
| But all the nation have for their families is desertion | F |
| God please be with the families of these fighters | E |

| I want a nation where a gallant patriot dies happily | B |
| Without having these fears for his family | B |
| How his children school fees will be paid | G |
| Will his Pension and gratuity be acceleratedly paid | G |
| Will the would be orphans not drop out of school | B |
| Else let him be alive to send them to school | B |
