You ought to know Mr MistoffeleesA
The Original Conjuring CatB
There can be no doubt about thatB
Please listen to me and don't scoff All hisA
Inventions are off his own batB
There's no such Cat in the metropolisA
He holds all the patent monopoliesA
For performing suprising illusionsA
And creating eccentric confusionsA
At prestidigitationC
And at legerdemainD
He'll defy examinationC
And deceive you againE
The greatest magicians have something to learnF
From Mr Mistoffelees' Conjuring TurnF
PrestoG
Away we goG
And we all say OHG
Well I neverH
Was there everH
A Cat so cleverH
As Magical Mr MistoffeleesA
-
He is quiet and small he is blackI
From his ears to the tip of his tailJ
He can creep through the tiniest crackI
He can walk on the narrowest railJ
He can pick any card from a packI
He is equally cunning with diceA
He is always deceiving you into believingK
That he's only hunting for miceA
He can play any trick with a corkL
Or a spoon and a bit of fish pasteM
If you look for a knife or a forkL
And you think it is merely misplacedM
You have seen it one moment and then it is gawnF
But you'll find it next week lying out on the lawnF
-
And we all say OHG
Well I neverH
Was there everH
A Cat so cleverH
As Magical Mr MistoffeleesA
-
His manner is vague and aloofN
You would think there was nobody shyerH
But his voice has been heard on the roofN
When he was curled up by the fireH
And he's sometimes been heard by the fireH
When he was about on the roofN
At least we all heard that somebody purredM
Which is incontestable proofN
Of his singular magical powersA
And I have known the family to callO
Him in from the garden for hoursA
While he was asleep in the hallO
And not long ago this phenomenal CatM
Produced seven kittens right out of a hatM
And we all said OHG
Well I neverH
Did you everH
Know a Cat so cleverH
As Magical Mr MistoffeleesA
