The Suburban Classes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFFGGEEFFHHThere is far too much of the suburban classes | A |
Spiritually not geographically speaking They re asses | A |
Menacing the greatness of our beloved England they lie | B |
Propagating their kind in an eightroomed stye | C |
Now I have a plan which I will enfold | D |
There s this to be said for them they do as they re told | D |
Then tell them their country s in mortal peril | E |
They believed it before and again will not cavil | E |
Put it in caption form firm and slick | F |
If they see it in print it is bound to stick | F |
Your King and your Country need you Dead | G |
You see the idea Well let it spread | G |
Have a suitable drug under string and label | E |
Free for every Registered Reader s table | E |
For the rest of the gang who are not patriotic | F |
I ve another appeal they ll discover hypnotic | F |
Tell them it s smart to be dead and won t hurt | H |
And they ll gobble up drug as they gobble up dirt | H |
