My Wish Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AAABB CCCB DDEE FGGGG HHHIIFar away I heard him speak | A |
Yelling his voice to it's peak | A |
In all better life to seek | A |
And as to hear the cost of fish | B |
I begin to make my wish | B |
- | |
I pass by his family to observe | C |
That even the little they deserve | C |
Men with horns put on their reserve | C |
And there I wish | B |
- | |
Unto the spiritual men they mock | D |
Piling curses in their stock | D |
And as I watch in grief | E |
Again I make a wish so brief | E |
- | |
I make my wish again | F |
Upon knowing all the pain | G |
They go through without gain | G |
Stressing the blood flowing in their vein | G |
And hence their toils in vain | G |
- | |
I pass by the unprivileged to see | H |
People of adult age to be | H |
Show gross disrespect to thee | H |
And there I yearn with sorrow | I |
And I wish it was never so | I |
