A Twinkling Star Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFBGBGDGH

Out through the window I gazedA
Into the silent night skyB
The gleaming darkC
The smiling waning gibbousD
Illuminated the heavensD
And I gazed not at thatE
My point of convergence the procyonF
Dazzling brightly against the murky starless skyB
Far away in the constellation of Canis MinorG
Up above so highB
I kept my gaze till my mind grew calmerG
My imagination melted into hazy drowsinessD
And I soon fell into an uneasy slumberG
With you all in my mindH
