| A privilege my ancestors fought for in countless decades | B |

| I walked quietly in the white neighbourhoods | B |
| Carrying my books in my bag | C |
| I had to pass every test like I should | D |
| And get that degree my parents never had | E |

| This was my ancestors' dream | F |
| For a fair livelihood irregardless of their skin | G |
| I had that privilege and more could be done | H |
| Being black is not a crime and that should be a norm for generations to come | I |

| Now today I have a dream | F |
| That a black child will never experience poverty | J |
| They should acquire the best education of their ability | J |
| Lead organizations instead of gangs | B |
| Be in summits instead of jail | K |
| - | |
| Be a societal inspiration instead of a threat | L |
| Rule the world and fly in private jets | B |
| Not being another crime statistic due to the oppression put on them because the colour of their skin | G |
| Black child this is what I envision for you in my dream | F |
