Stanzas To Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGF HIHI JKJK LMLM HNHN OPOP

Ah poor Love why dost thou liveA
Thus to see thy service lostB
If she will no comfort giveC
Make an end yield up the ghostD
-
That she may at length approveE
That she hardly long believedF
That the heart will die for loveG
That is not in time relievedF
-
Oh that ever I was bornH
Service so to be refusedI
Faithful love to be forbornH
Never love was so abusedI
-
But sweet Love be still awhileJ
She that hurt thee Love may heal theeK
Sweet I see within her smileJ
More than reason can reveal theeK
-
For though she be rich and fairL
Yet she is both wise and kindM
And therefore do thou not despairL
But thy faith may fancy findM
-
Yet although she be a queenH
That may such a snake despiseN
Yet with silence all unseenH
Run and hide thee in her eyesN
-
Where if she will let thee dieO
Yet at latest gasp of breathP
Say that in a lady's eyeO
Love both took his life and deathP
