Sonnet Xxii: In Highest Way Of Heav'n Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CDD CEE

In highest way of heav'n the Sun did rideA
Progressing then from fair twins' golden placeB
Having no scarf of clouds before his faceB
But shining forth of heat in his chief prideA
-
When some fair ladies by hard promise tiedA
On horseback met him in his furious raceB
Yet each prepar'd with fan's well shading graceB
From that foe's wounds their tender skins to hideA
-
Stella alone with face unarmed march'dC
Either to do like him which open shoneD
Or careless of the wealth because her ownD
-
Yet were the hid and meaner beauties parch'dC
Her daintiest bare went free the cause was thisE
The Sun which others burn'd did her but kissE
