Sonnet 73: Love Still A Boy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CBCB DDE FFG

Love still a boy and oft a wanton isA
School'd only by his mother's tender eyeB
What wonder then if he his lesson missC
When for so soft a rod dear play he tryB
-
And yet my Star because a sugar'd kissC
In sport I suck'd while she asleep did lieB
Doth low'r nay chide nay threat for only thisC
Sweet it was saucy Love not humble IB
-
But no 'scuse serves she makes her wrath appearD
In Beauty's throne see now who dares come nearD
Those scarlet judges threat'ning bloody painE
-
Oh heav'nly fool thy most kiss worthy faceF
Anger invests with such a lovely graceF
That Anger's self I needs must kiss againG
