Sonnet 59: Dear, Why Make You More Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA ACBA DED EFF

Dear why make you more of a dog than meA
If he do love I burn I burn in loveB
If he wait well I never thence would moveC
If he be fair yet but a dog can beA
-
Little he is so little worth is heA
He barks my songs thine own voice oft doth proveC
Bidden perhaps he fetcheth thee a gloveB
But I unbid fetch ev'n my soul to theeA
-
Yet while I languish him that bosom clipsD
That lap doth lap nay lets in spite of spiteE
This sour breath'd mate taste of those sugar'd lipsD
-
Alas if you grant only such delightE
To witless thngs then Love I hope since witF
Becomes a clog will soon ease me of itF
