Sonnet 55: Muses, I Oft Invoked Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CDC EFF

Muses I oft invoked your hold aidA
With choicest flow'rs my speech t'engarland soB
That it despis'd in true by naked showB
Might win some grace in your sweet grace array'dA
-
And oft whole troops of saddest words I stay'dA
Striving abroad a foraging to goB
Until by your inspiring I might knowB
How their black banner might be best display'dA
-
But now I mean no more your help to tryC
Nor other sug'ring of my speech to proveD
But on her name incessantly to cryC
-
For let me but name her whom I do loveE
So sweet sounds straight mine ear and heart do hitF
That I well find no eloquence like itF
