Sonnet 106: Oh Absent Presence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBC CBBC DDE FFE

Oh absent presence Stella is not hereA
False flattering Hope that with so fair a faceB
Bare me in hand that in this orphan placeB
Stella I say my Stella should appearC
-
What sayest thou now Where is that dainty cheerC
Thou toldst mine eyes should help their famish'd caseB
But thou art gone now that self felt disgraceB
Doth make me most to wish my comfort nearC
-
But here I do store of fair ladies meetD
Who may with charm of conversation sweetD
Make in my heavy mold new thought to growE
-
Sure they prevail as much with me as heF
That bade his friend but then new maim'd to beF
Merry with him and not think of his woeE
