Come Sleep, O Sleep! The Certain Knot Of Peace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBABDEDEFF

Come Sleep O Sleep the certain knot of peaceA
The baiting place of wit the balm of woeB
The poor man's wealth the prisoner's releaseA
Th' indifferent judge between the high and lowB
With shield of proof shield me from out the pressC
Of those fierce darts Despair at me doth throwB
O make in me those civil wars to ceaseA
I will good tribute pay if thou do soB
Take thou of me smooth pillows sweetest bedD
A chamber deaf of noise and blind of lightE
A rosy garland and a weary headD
And if these things as being thine in rightE
Move not thy heavy grace thou shalt in meF
Livelier than elsewhere Stella's image seeF
