Gorilla - 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKHL MNNNOP

When morning was child man bathed in the ancient GangesA
Now he worships the burning orb of mid noon sunB
Mankind moved to the threshold of another era and shatteredC
The fears hatched in our blood by old beliefsD
In fury today man measures the planet with the third eyeE
Between his brow His conscience crows becoming a cockF
Barks becoming a dog sings becoming a bird There is nothingG
That the conscience will not become for this countryH
We are neither fools nor rich to indulge in lengthy argumentsI
About god ours are hands which must work to live One who has skillJ
To turn earth into fruit and grain need not lose his heartK
Even though in the market places of our countryH
Life is selling heaps of sorrowL
-
Gods come and go in the sky But the only god accessible to usM
Is the plough which we hold ad the gorilla who isN
slumbering in our muscles Remember the sky of cultivatorsN
Rains only rains does not rain harvestsN
