Rhyme Scheme: A B C DE F G G H G G I J K L L M N O P Q L

In the mirror of time I do not see the foot prints of yearsA
-
I have seen trees shedding their leaves about timesB
-
I have also seen hunger dribbling its drops of sweatC
-
from the first bicycle entering my village toD
Man setting his feet on the moonE
-
I have seen the entire span ofF
-
Man s journey in this centuryG
-
I dreamt that this century would seeG
-
A new sky showering drizzles of starsH
-
on a new countryG
-
But alas what did I seeG
-
I have seen down pourI
-
of bombs from Paris to Pearl HarborJ
-
I have seen gushing floods of human bloodK
-
-
ages around the sunL
-
Inundating those very two rivers Which gave birth to the Sumerian civilizationL
-
I have also seen great monuments of humanity being reduced to shamblesM
-
My words of anguish streamed into newspapers to become HeadlinesN
-
I am now not left with many years nor tearsO
-
I now see the foot prints of timeP
-
Is this the fruit of mother earth revolving around the sun for so many agesQ
-
I now see history facing this questionL
