It has been six hundred yearsA
When a dozen of us took the ship rideB
That would drive dozens of usC
Into generations of servitudeD
All over the globe we were tamedE
Like the all powerful gorillaF
It has been just as longG
Since they realized that we are strongG
The most enduring race in the worldH
Thus their idiosyncratic malediction to our typeI
They have tried to drive us into extinctionJ
Vitiation has failed for generationsK
In time we have proved our mettleL
We have stood the test of timeM
We have outlived the longest holocaustN
We the race of sorrows in the human familyO
The Japanese have been paid off for their painP
The Jews have been rewarded GodQ
With the promised land of CanaanJ
With fat bank accounts from the whole worldH
They the chosen tribe of JudahF
They still whine at the use of just wordsR
Yet we take it everydayS
Even from them that cry foul to the worldH
The worst racists of all human kindT
Antisemitism has been coined a crimeM
No word describes our daily bread and maledictionJ
We the black sheep of the flockU
We carried the world on our shouldersV
As it spat on our faces for centuriesW
We have been whipped back slappedX
But we stood firm we rode the tideB
Here they described us in the most blatant wayS
Only the heartiest of Africans could endureY
The cruel middle passage to North AmericaF
Once off loaded the surviving AfricansK
Were paraded atop auction stagesZ
For inspection of their physical traitsA2
Thus was born eugenics a movement to createB2
Monster workers of us to till their landC2
And lift their loadsD2
-
We survived Jim Crow and so did we the BoersE2
The Ku Klux Klan could not lynch us to extinctionJ
The Carnegie Institute we will beatF2
We will survive the AIDS war so imposed on usC
Just like castration and sterilizationJ
They failed to subdue usC
Only time will tell that we are the true tribe of JudahF
We will outlive any other raceG2
Just like we gave life to every raceG2
Heroes of our type have come and been silencedH2
We have been robbed of the best we mourn dailyO
The hardest of our flock silently softenedI2
By the unscrupulous devil machineJ
Marcus Garvey Patrice Lumumba silencedH2
Malcolm X a shining beacon bullet riddled to silenceJ2
Steve Biko fearless to deathK2
Tupac Shakur honestly brilliant frankly rebelliousC
Martin Luther King a prophet of sortsL2
Our greatest voices turned out by quislingsL2
Where do we go now how do we get from hereM2
